Located in Windermere, Florida, near Lake Butler and at the confluence of two canals, this single-family residence was designed to maximize the unique features of the site. The strategic placement positions the main volume at the southern front edge of the lot, freeing up a large patio area and creating a harmonious interface with the pre-existing pool. This configuration not only enhances the outdoor space but also establishes a fluid relationship between the architecture and the surrounding natural landscape.

The architectural program is organized into two well-defined floors. On the ground floor, the service and living areas are functionally and integratively distributed. Near the main entrance, the parking area and a guest bedroom are located, ensuring both practicality and privacy. The social area, in turn, opens generously to the patio and pool, with floor-to-ceiling windows that promote a visual and spatial connection between the indoor and outdoor environments. This architectural solution dissolves the boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing natural light and cross-ventilation to permeate the spaces.

On the upper floor lies the private area of the residence, exclusively dedicated to the family. This level houses four suites, as well as a TV room that serves as a more reserved living space. The master suite, strategically positioned at the rear of the volume, offers privileged views of the canal confluence and the sunrise, providing an environment of contemplation and comfort.
To address the intense sunlight characteristic of the region, the design incorporates projecting eaves that create a visually light volume resting on a recessed base. This solution not only helps protect the interior spaces from direct solar radiation but also gives the residence a striking architectural identity, setting it apart from the traditional suburban architecture of the American landscape.
