The idea was to bring more safety when the workers are working one the maintenance of the different trains directly on the rails. The dangers are located below the train so the important was to light up the floor surrounding the train. Each Locomotive are 10m long so we had to provide a solution within this length with enough light, water proof because outside and also vibration resistant.
The Nex Flex was the perfect solution here because of the low power installed, we could have only on led driver installed for the 2 lines of 10mm installed on each locomotive. The light is also very homogeneous which is essential when we speak about safety light.
