For this restaurant located in a contemporary hotel in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island, the place is designed to be highly transformable, and be able to cater for almost every scenario, while at the same time to be re-branded with a young & trendy image.

Chinese Restaurant is the most popular type of cuisines in Hong Kong. It is the best place for family & friends gathering, and most importantly it is always the venue for the biggest moments in every Chinese family, from Wedding banquets, new-born shower party to the birthday celebration of the senior family members. 
In order the entertain the varying requirements of the customer from a room of 12-seaters to a big hall of more than 300 guests, most restaurant will adopt movable partitions for all these situations, while on the other hand, lost a lot of spatial quality when all the panels are hidden, leaving a big hall of space to fill up with small tables.

In Yat Lung Heen, spaces are arranged with highest degree of flexibility without sacrificing the design feature that keep every pocket of spaces well defined. Instead of just using the typical movable panels to divide rooms & party area, another set of decorative screens are applied to create layering of spaces when the dividing partitions are hidden away, keeping every rooms permeable in vision. All decorative screens are movable & fabricated in brushed brass, with a touch of Art Deco style in simplified stream lines & curves that brings the elegancy & classical feelings during Wedding Banquets or business lunches.

Other than the expected red colour resembling good fortune & happiness, a emerald green tone is applied in general to freshen up the space with a modern touch, & it could be blended in with all sorts of events easily without any conflicts to Feng Shui.
