Inspired by the simple Japanese garment from which it takes its name Yukata blends the principles of contemporary Japanese design simplicity with the comfort and privacy of the traditional Japanese home. Located in Alam Sutera, an area of West Jakarta with a large Japanese community, Yukata comprises 350 luxury units in a sleek 35 storey tower divided at its centre by a pool deck, Onsen and blossom garden.

The simple tower is enveloped in a sleek skin of gloss black and warm metallic louvres combining the sophistication of a slick dark tower with warmer accent tones which seem to flow down the facade from top to bottom. OOZN’s interior concept for Yukata suites takes the values of architectural simplicity and material richness into the heart of the building.

The lobby floor and rear wall are clad in rich local stone whilst the private lift lobbies re-interpret the traditional Shoji screen in frosted glass, etched with a cherry blossom silhouette. The spectacular 18th floor Onsen brings the external facade louvre inside, layering the floor and walls in vertical Javanese timbers which flow into the adjacent garden of contemplation.
