The interior design project is defined by a vibrant color palette and surprising contrasts of finishes. The concept revolves around contemporary iconic design elements playfully combined with Scandinavian textures.

The apartment had been previously inhabited and was taken over unfurnished. The interior design concept aimed to transform and personalize it for the new owners by reconditioning some of the existing finishes. Thus, the original window frames were preserved, and the existing parquet was sanded and refinished.

In the bathrooms, the sanitary fixtures and furniture were replaced, while the existing ceramic tiles were covered with microcement — a versatile and minimalist finish chosen to minimize intervention and create a seamless look. The finish was applied to both floors and walls. Colored ceramic tiles were introduced as accents, ranging from large-format slabs to smaller decorative tiles. LED lights recessed into coves or furniture highlight these accent finishes and create various lighting scenarios — essential in any modern interior design.

The day area features an open-plan kitchen with a dining zone connected to a generous living room. The kitchen stands out through its distinctive green-painted MDF fronts, paired with small “Verdemare” ceramic tiles used for the backsplash, adding a lively touch to the space.

In the living room, a large built-in storage wall integrates a library, drawers, closed compartments, and the TV area, concealing all wiring. The sofa is the accent piece and the preferred spot for relaxation — a key element of the living space.

One of the bedrooms was converted into a home office for two. The result is a space full of personality and unexpected details, creating a pleasant and inspiring working atmosphere. Multiple light sources, an essential aspect of interior design, accommodate different needs and moods.

The master bedroom continues the stylistic theme of the apartment, featuring the same warm wood tones and neutral-colored MDF furniture. The bed introduces a new accent in the color palette — deep navy blue. Contrast is brought by the adjustable disc-shaped wall sconces above the nightstands, which can be repositioned or swapped. The wall facing the bed is decorated with a colorful wallpaper that enriches the space and evokes the feeling of an oil painting.
