Felix Apartment

Fenda Arquitetura como Architects & Interior Designers

Located in Pinheiros, one of the busiest neighbourhoods of Sao Paulo, the Felix project was requested by an investor and was developed in order to easily suit different tenants. With only one suite and ample social space, the 85m² floor plan is free of furniture, but guarantees all the necessary infrastructure for the resident.

One of the biggest challenges of this project was to ensure that the rooms were cozy and had personality even though it was not planned for a specific user and was free of furniture. We needed to create an environment that charmed the interested tenant to the point of winning them over on the first visit.

To ensure that the project would please a range of different tastes, we used a neutral colour palette and a small variation of materials. Although there are only three colours/textures throughout the apartment, which are white, nude and wood, we distributed these elements in order to give depth, presence and refinement to the rooms.

We developed a well-designed cabinetry project, and used floor-to-ceiling wood panels with concealed doors, built-in appliances and details that showcase the level of care with an aesthetic result. The investor is Brazilian, but does not live in Brazil.

One of the most impressive and challenging issues of this project was to develop almost everything from a distance. We had a few face-to-face interactions midway. One at the beginning of the project, when we selected the materials that would be used, and later, by the end of the project.

This project is minimalistic as well as cozy and immersive. The result was so comprehensive that the investor leased the apartment before it was finished. The rooms are inviting and reflect the refinement of the resident who will settle in.
