In San Diego's North County, a general neighborhood resistance to modern aesthetic inspired the owner of this residence to go against the grain and create an inspired setting, standing in stark contrast to its neighbors. The essential function of the home served to house, display and integrate the owners' art collection. The pieces, made of glass, and reflecting light and color - defined the space as a backdrop that included monochromatic finishes and an elongated entry viewing experience along a gentle arc of cascading water. The mild San Diego climate and the site were key in creating the numerous indoor/outdoor relationships in this airy, modern and very fun Southern California residence.
