The opening of Incheon Port marked a turning point in Korea’s transition toward a modern nation. It was both a gateway through which new cultures and experiences entered the country and a point of departure from which Korean culture began to reach the wider world. Harudot Khao Yai is located on a sloping site descending from the main road toward a large water basin, opening to a panoramic view of the Khao Yai landscape. The architect recognized the site’s potential not only as a café destination, but also as a public viewpoint—one that could be accessed independently by passersby without entering the café itself. This 130 m² café is conceived as a bright and welcoming all-day space designed for everyday use by local residents. The project transforms an empty space into a carefully structured interior where functionality, atmosphere, and material expression are brought into balance. The spatial organisation revolves around an open kitchen that acts as both the functional core and the visual centerpiece of the café. Finished in stainless steel and metal-fronted cabinetry, it introduces a subtle industrial character that is softened by warm wooden elements connecting it to the dining area. In a setting defined by movement, noise and constant visual stimulation, Perch at DLF Avenue, Saket offers something intentionally different. Tucked within the rhythm of a busy retail environment, the café was conceived as a pause, a space that feels calmer, softer and more grounded than its surroundings. Designed by Studio LCD, the project was completed in 2021, at a time when public spaces were beginning to reopen and people were gradually returning to shared environments. It has since been reactivated by a younger generation and now accommodates a curry restaurant on the second floor and a used bookstore next door. Museo Auto Classica was envisioned as a new cultural destination for Hua Hin, where the beauty of automotive design and fine art could be shared with the public. Originally, the owner curated a small exhibition space within Bluport Shopping Mall, displaying fewer than 10 vehicles alongside selected artworks. However, due to spatial limitations and the decline in foot traffic during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the opportunity arose to expand the project into a standalone destination. Project Overview: A simple palette of white oak, tile, and concrete shapes this contemporary neighborhood bakery, where daylight, open displays, and layered seating create a welcoming café that celebrates craft, transparency, and the daily ritual of fresh bread.  Building Materials: The interior uses a restrained palette of durable, tactile materials to transform what was once a frame shop into a bakery. The existing concrete floors were ground, polished and made anew. They are durable and reflect daylight, while white herringbone tile introduces texture along the product wall.
