Set on a corner lot within Nordelta’s nautical neighborhood, El Yacht, this house is anchored in the uniqueness of its location: a rectangular plot with the opportunity to open its longest side toward the water. Alejandro Peral The ground floor is programmatically resolved as a concrete box that houses the common areas, above which rests a pure white volume containing the private spaces. The award-winning Skokie Valley Synagogue renovation transformed the sanctuary, built in 1963, from a dark and formal room to an ethereal, bright and ADA accessible space for a contemporary congregation. The renovation included the installation of new windows and HVAC system throughout the building, as well as converting the old, large stage into new, modern bathrooms and a coat room. A refined approach to restaurant partitionsBathed in natural light, Restaurant Smørrebrød in Clermont-Ferrand is defined by clarity and calm. Tall windows flood the interior with daylight, while a soft palette of whites, pale wood, and sculptural furniture creates a serene, almost gallery-like atmosphere. Within this setting, restaurant partitions are introduced not as barriers, but as subtle architectural layers.
