In Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, the project transforms a townhouse and a former warehouse into a 496 sqm multidisciplinary medical center. The intervention builds upon the specific qualities of the two existing structures, adapting them to a new healthcare program. Facing the street, the townhouse accommodates the entrance and the first medical practices. Its façade is reworked in terracotta brick, establishing a dialogue with the surrounding urban fabric. The new medical center is a vibrant, human-centered space seamlessly integrated into Tbilisi’s urban fabric — transparent, open, and inviting. The project site covers 8,219 m², and the total building area is approximately 11,000 m². Custom Metallic and Mica finishes from #ALPOLIC work together on the envelope of the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Utah to create a welcoming environment that also harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The shining copper color and pearlescent warmth of the Mica metal composite materials evoke a sense of calm and comfort.  Use of these finishes is particularly noticeable on the large canopy at the hospital's entrance. Paired together, the colors extend from the building to shield incoming patients and visitors from the sun, and draw them into a similarly designed place of solace and healing.
