World of Volvo is a joint venture between Volvo Cars and the Volvo Group. This new 22,500-square-metre experience centre is located in central Gothenburg, the city where Volvo’s journey began in 1927. Designed by Henning Larsen, the project integrates computational parametric design with mass timber. The impressive main structure, made from glued laminated timber (glulam) and cross-laminated timber (CLT), forms three majestic tree trunk-like columns arranged in a mathematical pattern. A Bold New Environmental Center redeems a Former Brownfield Site created by steel mills dumping toxic slag for almost a century in southeast side of Chicago.  In 2016, The Chicago Environmental Fund (CEF) dedicated $3.7M for the construction of the Ford Calumet Environmental Center at Big Marsh. Funds were originally provided to CEF by Ford Motor Company. The center design began in late 2016 and opened to the public in August 2021. Johnson Favaro was retained by the City of West Hollywood in early 2002 and over a one-year process facilitated the development of a comprehensive master plan for West Hollywood Park, one of the few open spaces within this intensely urban community at the heart of metropolitan Los Angeles.
