the rhythm

The high-line rising up is the yearning of mankind for the sky. Karv One Design has created a floating urban center-"Metropolis". The designer uses the form of high line as the space symbols to perform multiple interpretations indoors and outdoors. Caption   In a space of 4,009 square meters, Chengdu's life scenes of TOD, restaurants, galleries, floral art, parks, exhibition halls are overlayed, which makes the whole High-line Park an urban narrative full of changes. Caption   The nuanced scene details such as geometric elements and gilded chandeliers inject an international life art concept into the space, forming a modern, fashionable, and unique romantic modern metropolitan tone, creating the first immersive style... Jan Olbracht Browar Staromiejski

Jan Olbracht is a unique place on the map of Toruń gastronomy. This restaurant with a brewery is situated in the heart of the Old Town, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, on four storeys of a Gothic tenement house from the 14th Century.  The restaurant has functioned here for a dozen years or so. Having worked in the same form for years, it needed some changes and refurbishment. Our task was to redecorate the main Room on the ground floor, together with the bar and the brewhouse, the Royal Room on the first floor, as well as the conference and event space. It was crucial to preserve and highlight the original interior elements such as: the polychrome and the Gothic brick. On the ground floor, we preserved the loges in the w... More

Bar Stock Exchange

With its blusterous and energetic populace and its chaotic cityscape, Mumbai, is unlike any city in India. The Mumbaikar culture is unique and tells a story about the city’s modern skyscrapers, from the Victoria Terminus to the Madh Fort, not unlike a catalogue of historical events, cultures and architecture. It is this idea of the passage of time, the gradation of culture and design movements in Mumbai, which the Bar Stock Exchange in CBD Belapur plays with. The design identity and language are bright, lively and eccentric but, at the same time is very sensible and remains true to the theme of time; incorporating elements from different eras ranging 1940’s to present day in its interior and décor. One couldn’t look further than observ... More

Southerleigh Brewhouse

The Southerleigh Brewhouse celebrates the architecture and soul of the 1890s vintage building. Together with Joel Mozersky Design, we worked together to bring the gritty magnificence of the Brewhouse back to life, as if it had never shut down. Clayton Korte retained vestiges of the deep history at Pearl through the re-purposing of historic equipment into decorative and functional pieces. These icons of the past have been scattered throughout the 5,000 square foot restaurant and 2,600 square foot Brewery. Fifteen foot original stainless steel kettle tops were re-purposed to provide a focal point to one of the three dining rooms. Honoring the past, the copper clad mash tun and boil kettle sit in the same location and are a focal point as pat... More

Social

The Chandigarh outlet of popular hyper local restrobar chain Social, designed by architect Abhigyan Neogi of Chromed Design Studio, is a maze of spaces and experiences, all tied together by an architectural reference to the planning of the city and the main man behind it — Swiss-French architect, Le Corbusier. The rapid advancement of technology has given birth to an era where most of us live online, our lives connected by the internet. However, being constantly glued to a screen has led to a disconnect from real life. Social aims to provide a space to reconnect with those around us face-to-face rather than via a smart phone or computer. Thus, the decor in each outlet has been used to facilitate that connection by being extremely relatable,... More

Avry nightclub

The brief was to create an iconic, luxurious design that focused on intimate VIP areas, whilst still keeping a space that flowed naturally. The Club needed to have a memorable and glamorous style, with various exciting and ‘Instagramable’ features. The brief also specified the need for a smaller dance floor to ensure the space always felt full, but was surrounded by deluxe booths to serve the VIP audience the Club wanted to attract.AVRY is laid out across a thirty meter long footprint that consists of a DJ booth and dance floor, bordered by statement VIP ‘bird cages’, twelve meter long bar and additional private VIP areas towards the back. A velvet curtained sound tunnel links AVRY to the Club’s daily bar,... More

coco retro

The Coco Retro bistro brings French flair to Royal Tunbridge Wells, a large affluent town in Kent, just outside London.   The brief for the design studio 32mq was to provide three different inspiring dining areas for three different dining experiences. The ground floor is an informal and relaxed brasserie; the first floor is an elegant intimate and stylish restaurant and the lower floor is a wine cellar (under development) dedicated to the wine collection of the owner.   Guests enter through a lobby-bar area with a unique circular shiny brass bar counter, which dominates the space and provides a perfect welcoming place for people watching on the street outside. Passing through a wooden and glass divider screen, a black and whi... More

Tehnikum

«Tehnikum» is a gastro bistro located in an historic building at the heart of the city. In a previous life it was a retail space selling drafting equipment to students from the nearby Moscow Architectural Institute. A new addition to the White Rabit Family holding, the project was conceived by restaurateur Boris Zarkov, chef Vladimir Mukhin and gastronaut Mikhail Druyan as a vibrant dining spot where innovative gastronomic ideas can be enjoyed by a diverse audience in a relaxed atmosphere. The interior evolved with several themes in mind. The wall to wall painting installed by artist Dmitry Aske recalls soviet canteens, where epic mosaics or murals often took centre stage in an otherwise utilitarian interior. Its former h... More

Les Grandes Tables

A restaurant/bar/open-air café positioned on Île Seguin in the middle of a temporary garden whilst waiting for the architect Jean Nouvel’s macro project to be implemented, Les Grandes Tables de L’ile is a place to meet, for haute cuisine and why not even parties to accompany the reconstruction of this island steeped in history. The project is an architectural hybridization between an agricultural greenhouse, a barge and a timber-frame house. Modelled after a large wood fibre box suspended in a scaffold structure from which freight containers are hanging, all encompassed beneath a transparent umbrella… An eye-catching iconoclastic assemblage with an area of 300m2 to accommodate120 covers and the cuisine of Arnaud Daguin, a chef with stars to... Nerua Restaurant

The project involves the restructuring of the museum cafeteria, exclusive to visitors, and its surroundings (hall, washrooms and preparation area) into a high standing restaurant, open also to the public and with a capacity for 40 diners. The work was taken on with a clear objective: the space had to represent chef Josean Alija’s culinary style; it had to be a true reflection of his creative processes. Therefore, one goes up an impressive stone staircase (approved by Frank O. Gehry) that leads into a titanium hallway. From here, one accesses the locale which is shared by the kitchen, visible and visitable, and the restaurant, both in a unique last generation spatial ambiance. Maple wood and lacquered sheet are also shared, the latte... More
