MVRDV celebrates opening of its Berlin office with MVRDV Haus Berlin exhibition

 Ahead of the opening of their new Berlin office in September, MVRDV has launched a new exhibition at the Architektur Galerie Berlin, celebrating almost 30 years’ worth of work in Germany. The walls of MVRDV Haus Berlin form a densely packed archive that shows off both current and past German projects by MVRDV – including unseen projects from our past and newly-revealed future projects. Sansan Kamiyama lab OMOYA

Sansan has set up satellite office Kamiyama lab in Kamiyama town Tokushima prefecture since 2010. OMOYA(Main house), NAYA(barn) and KOYA (cowshed) which have around 100 years old, are located with moderate distance on site. NAYA and KOYA which are used as office were already renovated. The owner requested to improve living environment of OMOYA as accommodation and training place, and renovate it so that workers can spend comfortably.    The courtyard which was surrounded by the three buildings, has a large cherry tree. Dating back to 1960, the building offered spaces ill-suited to today's professional needs. It was therefore hoped to offer more collaborative spaces, to encourage meetings and sharing activities, and to improve the staff well-being at their workplace.From the entrance is revealed the new reception whose faceted counter on three sides has now become the main premise of the space. The Y

The Y is a two-story multi-functional project built by Moscow restaurateur, Kira Baybakova, and designed by the New York based design studio Asthetíque, which also has a satellite office in Russia. The venue occupies two floors at the base of a newly built residential building in the heart of Moscow. The restaurant features 2 open kitchens and more than 200 seats. The Y concept is about the youth and diversity of generation Y - bold and ironic 30-40-year-old residents of the megalopolis who created the first video games and was pivotal in the Internet boom.
