The transformation of a historic country estate in Hørsholm, shaped by a rich architectural history. The original main house was destroyed by fire in the 1970s, leading to the conversion of one of the estate’s former stable buildings into the present residence. The conversion was carried out to a high standard, combining a timeless architectural expression with robust, tactile materials. Located in Roskilde, the project comprises the careful restoration of a heritage villa, with a strong focus on preserving the building’s original architectural character, materiality and historic expression. The project included the comprehensive restoration of the timber frame, the construction of a new roof structure and improvements to the building’s thermal performance through additional insulation. The new residential development at Bytorvet in Tølløse comprises the construction of eight new apartments, centrally located in the heart of Tølløse. The project contributes to the densification of the area with modern housing that integrates into the existing urban structure along Jernbanevej. The development is designed as a unified, elongated building volume of up to two storeys with an attic level, reaching a maximum height of 12 metres. The project comprises a new development on Usserød Kongevej, consisting of five residential units and one commercial space at ground level. The building is constructed in light-coloured brick with decorative brickwork in a sawtooth bond, while the rooftop apartment is clad in copper. Kystvillaen is situated on the edge of the coastal landscape in Greve and extends across approximately 330 square metres. The house is designed with a focus on calm, rhythm and light, where natural materials and fluid transitions create a harmonious flow throughout the spaces. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open the house towards the coast, while terraces extend from the living areas, dissolving the boundary between indoors and outdoors. MORFEUS arkitekter were engaged by clients Astri and Henrik Botten Taubøll in 2017 to design a new home on their recently inherited property, Sørbyhaugen 24 in Oslo. The choice fell jointly on transforming and extending the original house from 1933, even though the house was in a poor condition.
