KYSTVILLAEN

Kystvillaen is situated on the edge of the coastal landscape in Greve and extends across approximately 330 square metres. The house is designed with a focus on calm, rhythm and light, where natural materials and fluid transitions create a harmonious flow throughout the spaces. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open the house towards the coast, while terraces extend from the living areas, dissolving the boundary between indoors and outdoors.

The villa is organised around a three-part zoning concept — private, shared and creative spaces — each with its own atmosphere and function. Movement through the house follows a natural transition from open and social spaces to more intimate and secluded areas. The central volume accommodates the private rooms, serving as a quiet retreat, while the kitchen, dining area and living room bring everyday activities together in a bright and inviting space. In the creative wing, a hobby room provides a setting for creativity, exploration and connection.

At the heart of the house is the kitchen, designed as a flexible and social gathering space. Oak cabinetry adds warmth and texture, while a skylight allows daylight to filter down across the surfaces. The stainless-steel worktop creates a cool contrast, and the central kitchen island functions both as a workspace and a natural meeting point in everyday life. Integrated storage and concealed installations maintain a calm and uncluttered overall expression.

The outdoor areas are naturally connected to the interior — terraces for living and dining extend the rooms into the landscape, while all living spaces are oriented towards the coast. The view and natural light remain a constant presence, allowing the architecture to maintain a continuous dialogue between the building and its natural surroundings.
