The Works

Tucked along the banks of the River Medway in East Farleigh, Kent, stands a striking reminder of Victorian engineering and architectural eclecticism. Built in 1860 by James Pilbrow, this Grade II-listed boiler house is a rare example of Egyptian Revival architecture in Britain – a style that flourished briefly in the mid-nineteenth century, when fascination with the temples of Karnak, Luxor and Edfu – particularly the Temple of Horus – inspired civic and industrial buildings across the country. Once crowned by an extraordinary obelisk chimney, now long vanished, the building had endured decades of change and underuse. Today, through a bold yet sensitive design by Felix Lewis Architecture & Interiors, it has been reimag... More

North Tower

For over a decade, a concrete and steel skeleton defined the city’s landscape, remaining as a suspended promise within the characteristically horizontal urban fabric that shapes Pisa’s skyline. The transformation of the North Tower by ATI Project addresses this very context as an act of urban regeneration, converting a structure originally intended for residential use into a 14-story Business Center. The project provides the area with the city's first true corporate tower, a hub capable of converging the excellence of a district heavily defined by its academic, healthcare, and technological presence. Rather than passively adapting to its surroundings, the intervention acts as an urban catalyst, subsequently unlocking the destiny... More

The main task was to reflect the culture and spirit of the company through design elements. One such element is the logo wall. Light passing through the logo wall falls on a white surface and creates a unique shadow pattern. Caption The main goal was to maximize openness and to combine all functions into one single bright and interconnected space. All important areas are located closer to daylight. The rest, such as a cafeteria and meeting rooms, are arranged closer to the center of the floor plate. The open workspace and the... More
