The building is planned in the style of a two-story building with a staggered floor; two atriums are cut out of the volume. These cuts run vertically without a setback, so the building is also three-story under planning law, although it otherwise meets all the requirements for a staggered floor.
Internal access is via a central corridor. This is lit and ventilated by the incisions, which create a meander in the building. All apartments are connected to this corridor.
This allowed the units to be planned as flexibly as possible.
Sometimes as maisonettes, single-story or later divisible, the apartments are distributed unevenly throughout the building. No two apartments are alike, each apartment was planned specifically according to the wishes of the owners.
There are 12 residential units and a common room planned.
What materials did you choose and why? The construction is solid in concrete combined with a plaster façade- receiving KFW-55-standard and cost savings.
