Four accomplished architects from the United States, Italy, Spain, and Denmark join the Archello Awards 2026 jury, bringing experience across cultural architecture, hospitality, urban transformation, housing, and sustainable design. Louise Braverman, Lukas Rungger, Ana Bassat, and Rasmus Kierkegaard each approach architecture from a distinct perspective, with careers spanning international practice, major public projects, design competitions, and architectural education.

Louise Braverman is an internationally recognized architect and founder of Louise Braverman Architect, a New York–based practice driven by the belief that architecture can combine design excellence with social and environmental responsibility. A graduate of the Yale School of Architecture and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, she works across cultural, residential, and community projects in the United States and internationally. Her practice places particular emphasis on sustainability, public engagement, and architecture's capacity to positively influence the communities it serves.
Among her built projects are the Centro de Artes Nadir Afonso in Boticas, Portugal, a museum integrated beneath a green-roofed public park; the Derfner Judaica Museum in the Bronx, New York, designed to encourage engagement across generations; and Village Health Works Staff Housing in Burundi, an entirely off-grid residential facility for healthcare workers. Her practice has received more than sixty design awards, while her work has been selected for presentation at seven editions of the Venice Architecture Biennale.
Lukas Rungger is a founder of noa* network of architecture, an international architecture and design studio based in Bolzano and Berlin. A graduate of Graz University of Technology, he also studied in Brussels before gaining professional experience with Hans Gangoly in Graz, Softroom Architects in London, and Matteo Thun in Milan. Following the completion of his thesis in New York, he received his professional qualification as an architect from IUAV University of Venice, building an international career shaped by experience across Austria, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and the United States.
Through noa*, Lukas has developed projects across masterplanning, housing, hospitality, and interior architecture, with particular experience in hotels, restaurants, and spaces where architecture, landscape, and interior design intersect. His work reflects the studio's interdisciplinary approach, bringing together different scales and design disciplines to create projects closely connected to their physical and cultural contexts. Formerly a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, he is currently a member of the Chamber of Architects of Bolzano.
Ana Bassat is an architect and co-founder of b720 Arquitectos, the Barcelona-based architecture and urbanism practice she established with Fermín Vázquez in 1997. She studied architecture at ETSAB and holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from ESAB, practicing as an architect since 1994. From the foundation of b720, Ana has overseen the studio's organization, methodology, resources, and financial management, playing a central role in its development into one of Spain's prominent practices working across architecture, design, and urbanism.
The studio's diverse portfolio includes projects such as the Encants Market in Barcelona, Forma Itaim Tower in São Paulo, and Lleida-Alguaire Airport, alongside collaborations with internationally renowned architects including Jean Nouvel, David Chipperfield, and Toyo Ito. b720 is currently involved in several major infrastructure and urban projects set to reshape Spanish cities, including La Sagrera Station and the new Cruise Terminal in Barcelona, the redevelopment of Chamartín Station in Madrid, and the transformation of Málaga's waterfront.
Rasmus Kierkegaard is Creative Manager at LINK Arkitektur in Denmark, where he works with the development of architectural projects and competitions across Danish and international contexts. A graduate of Aarhus School of Architecture in 1999, he previously gained extensive experience as a partner at Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects. Over more than twenty years, Rasmus has worked across culture, housing, workplaces, healthcare, education, and sport, developing particular expertise in the critical early stages of projects where architectural ambition, program, context, and practical constraints must be brought together into a strong design concept.
Alongside his work at LINK Arkitektur, Rasmus contributes to architectural culture and education in Denmark as an architectural juror appointed by the Danish Association of Architects and as an external examiner at the country's architecture schools. His combination of competition experience, design leadership, and academic involvement has given him a broad perspective on evaluating architectural ideas and understanding how strong concepts can be developed into viable, enduring projects.
