In Ho Chi Minh City, September is a café brand designed by Red5. The façade feature’s a bird’s nest-like feature made from winding and curving steel systems. Circles hanging in the façade move as the wind blows – evoking symbolic images of birds on a branch.
From the outside in, the entire space is inspired by bird’s nests, with numerous nooks and crannies. The feeling of wind is represented in the curves of the space – the ceiling, walls, and floor creating a light feeling like a breeze spreading into each corner.
Gentle, neutral tones such as white, beige, rose-orange, natural wood colours are used. Aside from this, circular images and curves are detailed through the glass holes of the entrance and walls, and even into the tiny details of the furniture.
The ground floor creates the feeling of being immersed in a garden while the 2nd and 3rd floors, include a rooftop garden, can host larger groups.
