Until 2012, the famous La Cornue vaulted oven, assembled individually and to order by La Cornue “Companions”, remained the privilege of our Châteaux and Cornuchef stoves. With the 1908, an authentic La Cornue stove with a latest-generation vaulted gas oven is now accessible to a greater number of passionate amateurs.
The 1908 is a robust stove-top proudly manufactured from noble materials in our Saint-Ouen l’Aumône workshops and based around the same 74-litre vaulted oven with dual energy gas and electric grill which is fitted in our most deluxe ovens. Its front is immediately recognisable by its solid oven door, which is identical to that on the Châteaux La Cornue ovens.
The 90 cm cook-top is equipped with 5 professional, powerful, extra large burners. An optional hotplate can be fitted over the central burner for prolonged simmering or to keep several pans warm at once; a griddle grill and a wok support are also available.
The presence of a 1908 in a kitchen says a great deal about the passions at work in the house.
