Aged Iron

Aged iron is based on the authentic cast iron of yesteryear. However, one of the properties of cast iron is that it starts to rust, so the servants had to give the fitting a coat of black paint every year. Of course, such days are gone, which is why we developed a rustproof alloy for you that is treated with a special wax layer. This not only has the advantage of being maintenance-free, but also allows natural weathering to take its course. Gradually, the natural colour of the metal shows through in some places, resulting in a lovely range of hues and a warm, slightly weather-beaten appearance. This Living Finish is irreversible, but not for nothing is the material known as 'Aged' Iron.
