BauBuche by Pollmeier is a beech laminated veneer lumber. The hardwood veneers are predominantly aligned parallel to the grain to create a high-strength engineered timber material suitable for structural applications including beams, columns, load-bearing elements, and connection components. Its high load-bearing capacity can allow smaller cross-sections than conventional softwood timber systems, helping reduce material use while providing a high-quality exposed finish where required.

BauBuche is produced in Germany from beech sourced from sustainably managed, PEFC-certified forests in Central Europe. As a timber-based product, it stores biogenic carbon during its service life; Pollmeier reports approximately 1,171 kilograms of CO2 stored per cubic metre of BauBuche. Its high strength can also support material-efficient structural design and, in some applications, provide a lower-weight alternative to reinforced concrete or steel. Pollmeier provides an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for BauBuche, alongside product-specific Declarations of Performance and technical approvals.
