Bio Select was conceived to recreate the natural, elegant appearance and the texture and warmth of wooden floors on ceramic material.
It is inspired by oak and walnut, which are among the most precious varieties of wood. In Lea Ceramiche's research laboratories, a meticulously detailed analysis led to the identification of colours and designs to be reproduced on porcelain stoneware, using increasingly innovative digital printing techniques. The resultsare perfectly calibrated colours and veining: flowing graphics in the case of walnut, greater irregularity and nuances in the case of oak, but with a perfectly harmonious aesthetic result in the seven base colours.
The collection, available in 7 different coloursand5 different designs, is rich and varied. In the stylistic tradition of Lea Ceramiche, the sizes of the slabs allow numerous combinations of laying in geometric forms and distinctive styles. Thepossibility oflaying the floorboards in herringbone or trapezoidal shapes, allow you to customize the environment and use the ceramic material as a crucial design element. The floorboards, available in the 20 x 120 cm and 30 x 120 cm sizes, and also in the larger30 x 180 cm format, are fully finished over the entire length to give roomsthe natural, precious elegance of quality and the verisimilitude of the original wood. The collection isrounded off withfloorboards in the 30 x 120 cm size, 20 mm thick, which can be used to create seamless continuity between interiors and exteriors.
A significant addition is also being presented for Nextone, the series inspired by stones, which is now available in the 90 x 90 cm format.
Designers, as usual, play an important role in creating Lea Ceramiche'sproduct range: the stand also includes the most recent Concreto collections, designed by Fabio Novembre and presented with great success at the last Milan Design Week and Take Care with the Paddesigns fromPatrick Norguet; as well as anarea dedicated to milestones in collaboration on design together with the company.
Finally, the presence of Lea Ceramiche at Cersaie 2018 will be augmented by an innovative virtual reality show, with the launch of the REAL project, a system for digitallydesigning of spaces that allows you to experience the potential of the ceramic products in real settingsand in a quality never seen before.
