Preserved Mossart and Folia creations are made with 100% natural mosses, flowers, and plants. These preserved pieces do not require watering, natural light, or trimming. The mosses, plants, and flowers are cultivated or harvested using ecological practices and are no longer living. They are preserved without the use of chemicals, natural oils, and food dyes. The natural oils mimic the water in the plant, giving them a lifelike appearance that can last for months or even years. Preserved products are suitable for indoor use only and may vary in softness based on the room's humidity. It is important to avoid direct sunlight and not to water or spray preserved products to maintain their quality.
Mossart
Mossart creations are made with preserved moss and require no natural light, trimming, or watering. They are suitable for wall applications and come in pre-made panels for easy installation. Custom sizes and shapes are also available.
Preserved Sheet Moss
Sheet Moss has a very natural and organic feel. This moss is thinner and like its name comes in large flat sheets. It’s often applied as a wall or ceiling covering and is an excellent base moss for multi-material creations and indoor projects. Standard panels are approximately ¼” thick, and 3 shades of green moss are available.
Acoustic capacity
Mossart Panels have been shown to have significant sound absorption. According to a study conducted by the Centre for Architectural Ecology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), the sound absorption is relatively high, with signal number ratings (NRC and SAA) in the range of a 3/4”-1” fiberboard or a carpet on an underlay pad. Absorption in this range can be useful in classrooms and conference rooms to improve speech intelligibility and the quality of verbal communication.
Flammability
ByNature unicolor reindeer Mossart Panels have been tested for flammability. The method used for testing is designated as CAN/ULC-S102-10, Standard Method of Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials and Assemblies. This test is designed to determine the relative surface burning characteristics of materials under specific test conditions. After testing three identical specimens, the results confirmed that ByNature Mossart panels have an average Flame Spread Rating (FSR) of 95 and an average Smoke Developed Classification (SDC) of 445.

Graymont
Graymont is a global leader in lime and limestone solutions. The company has been in operation for 75 years and is professionally managed and family-owned. Despite its strong corporate principles, the physical environment of Graymont lacked energy and needed to be restructured for better space utilization and increased amenities. The goal was to create an inviting and interactive environment that encourages staff to return to the office. With the help of Aura, Graymont was able to revamp its head office, creating a flexible, interactive, and inviting environment optimized for hybrid work.
The office redesign incorporates Graymont's brand identity and company story. The designers paid special attention to detail and finishes, resulting in a design featuring minerality, soft angles, straight lines, and a West Coast feel. Elements of Graymont's logo are integrated throughout the building, from the reception area to specific lighting features. The color palette consists of Graymont's brand colors: blues, blacks, and grey, with accents of orange, yellow, and pockets of green biophilia. Preserved foliage can be seen throughout the workplace, and there is a statement tree in the conference center to add vibrancy to the office. Natural elements were utilized to provide visual relaxation, help focus, inspire creativity, and create a welcoming environment that fosters harmony within the workplace.
