The DCBL Suppression System™ technology package consists of three core components: a direct current (DC) brushless motor, Bloom™ HD LED bulbs and a sophisticated on-board computer system that controls it all. Zephyr is the first to use a direct current (DC) brushless motor in a range hood. While other range hoods use alternating current (AC) motors, the DC brushless motor generates more torque, yet operates at lower RPMs (revolutions per minute) which provides greater air movement, virtually eliminates noise (77 percent less noise) and reduces the range hood’s energy consumption by 80 percent while on working speed.
