Firstwood® Thermoholz

Firstwood® timber is a natural material with brilliant characteristics. Our thermal treatment optimizes the wood for the outdoor use by reducing the wood-typical swelling and shrinking. It also makes the wood pest-resistant and rot-proof and extends the woods durability to 15 to 25 years. Our wood is dimensionally stable, resin free, weatherproof and needs less maintenance. In every case the wood is just treated by heat and steam without any kind of chemistry. All products of the Firstwood ltd. are produced under strongest environmental requirements, ecological self-reliance and in terms of sustainability. So it’s essential for us to optimize our use of energy and to protect the nature. Moreover we use local timber from sustainable forestry (FSC- / PEFC-certificated). In doing so we protect the rainforest by using local wood instead of tropical wood. So Firstwood® timber is a perfect alternative solution for tropical wood and convinces through it’s precious and homogeneous surface.
