Foglie translates to leaves, so there is no mystery as to the source of the name for this majestic, yet herbal door. With or without leaves, it forms a pleasant art work open or closed, possibly with the garden beyond. Gesso mouldings are classical in form and can just as well be rendered in gold or any other colour to complement the design decor of a room. Dimensions are equally flexible. This design should definitely be a part of your portfoglia. SERENISSIMA COLLECTION Serenissima Collection has new, graceful lines and colors that are characterized by transparency with the beauty of decorations from nature. The name itself means Most Serene Republic and referring to historic Doge’s appellation reminds us the past splendour of Venice. PORTE ITALIA Porte Italia doesn’t run a furniture assembly line. The results are evident in the seeing and touching of our limited edition, hand-painted and finished works of art in three dimensions.
The model for this sort of craftmanship comes from Venice in the eighteenth century, where exceptionally skilled artisans sought to please their powerful patrons. Some inspirations for American artist Ann Graham, author of PORTE ITALIA’s Painted Interior Furnishings, come from the Collection of Ca’ Rezzonico, Museum of 18th C. Venice just south of our Headquarters, others from antiques in museums worldwide, international fairs and, of course, totally original creations. Ann has been collaborating with Enrico Lenarduzzi, Porte Italia’s entrepreneur founder, for 25 years. Today, assisted by his wife, Claudia Toso and son, Emilio, along with an irreplaceable staff of expert frame makers, carvers, lacquerers and decorators, they create an astonishing array of furnishings for every room, including sofas, chandeliers, and even ceramics. These Made in Italy objects of art have attracted admirers around the world. It’s no wonder. The PORTE ITALIA cast of characters is passionate about Painted Interior Furnishings.
