For the East Facade of the United Nations Delegates’ Lounge, designer Hella Jongerius created the Knots & Beads Curtain, an architectural textile artwork that combines craftsmanship and contemporary design. The curtain consists of hand-knotted yarn interwoven with 30,000 porcelain beads, each meticulously crafted from Dutch clay by Royal Tichelaar Makkum.
