Quality designs deserve perfect execution. Lacobel is a range of painted float glass for a vast number of indoor applications, including furniture, interior decoration and shop fittings. With its many deep and brilliant colours, Lacobel is a versatile material which can be adapted to any surroundings.
Lacobel T is an improved version of Lacobel, a toughened glass which is resistant to thermal shock and can also be used in outdoor applications.
How it works
The float glass is coated on one side with high-quality lacquer paint. The paints contain no heavy metals or other chemicals. As the colours become fixed during the manufacturing process, Lacobel is UV- and light-resistant.
The paint used in Lacobel T contains a special resin. Once manufactured, Lacobel T is toughened in a tempering furnace. The resin evaporates and the paint is baked into the glass.
Range
Lacobel comes in 25 stock colours. Customised colours are also available on request for projects requiring more than 200 m2. The possibilities are endless. You can use Lacobel in furniture design: doors, tables, shelving and even whiteboards. It can also be used as a wall covering in business premises and homes, and an anti-bacterial version is even available for use in kitchens, hospitals and bathrooms. Lacobel is available in standard thicknesses of 4 mm and 6 mm. Other thicknesses can be supplied on demand. Lacobel T is available in four colours: Deep Black, Zen Grey, Crisp White and Cool White2. Although Crisp White and Cool White2 are both white, Cool White2‘s grey top layer makes it perfectly opaque. Lacobel T is available in standard thicknesses of 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm. The maximum pane dimensions are 2,550 x 3,210 mm.
Properties
The moisture-resistant paint layer is always applied on the side of the inner pane. This protects the paint and preserves the colour and appearance of the glass. The industrial process guarantees a uniform appearance and the paint adheres flawlessly to the glass. We also use environmentally friendly paints to preserve the environment.
Applications
Lacobel was developed for indoor applications, while Lacobel T can also be used in façades. Indoor applications include furniture such as tables, display cases and shelving, as well as wall coverings for e.g. kitchens, offices, hotels and shops.
