EcoDomo leathers may be used in interiors the same manner you use wood - for panels, floors, furniture, cabinets, veneer, casework, ceilings, counter and more. We manufacture all types of leathers. First, choose colors, thicknesses, and embossing style of the leather. Second, you can add the following finishes: lamination on MDF, custom cuts, stitching, panels, shelves or wrapping. We welcome to partner with designers and manufacturers to develop customized, innovative finished products to meet your needs. a) COLOR We stock the colors listed under each collection. You can choose any color from any collection - we will make it for you to your specification. We also match colors and textures from vinyl, paint chips, or leather. The equipment we use to finish our leathers is the same as what's found in tanneries - and it's made locally, reviving tanning in America and lowering your costs. b) RECYCLED OR HIDE Budget, size, application and LEED considerations will guide your choice. Full hide leathers are about twice the price of recycled leather and have inherent limitations on size and applications. Our hides in Milano and Cordova offer a natural feel and will develop more patina over time. Recycled leather offers a value alternative. It is made from over 70% leather fibers manufactured similarly to paper. We use premium remnants of hides to manufacture the recycled leather of a density comparable to Red Oak. Recycled leathers offer the widest range of thicknesses and size- and the same general appearance as hide leathers as they are finished the same way. It can be milled, cut, and maintained the same way as a hardwood floor or veneer. Finish edges in furniture or cabinets with regular edge banding, a trim, or in-lay within your substrate. c) THICKNESS Choose from three standard thicknesses available . 3 mm - Echelon or Milano for glue-down floors or walls; 2 mm - Rainforest for floating floors, glue-down walls, 4'x8' sheets or rolls for furniture and veneers 8 mm- Andeline for veneer applications on furniture, casework, panels in 4'x8' sheets or rolls Custom thicknesses are available on demand in increments from 0.4 mm up to 3.4 mm in thickness.
d) INSTALLATION Tile are installed as a resilient floor with adhesive - releasable or permanent. Planks and tiles from the Rainforest Collection are installed as a laminate floating floor. Veneers are laminated in hot or cold press to our specifications. Panels can be installed as acoustical panels with z-clips, Velcro, or adhesive.
