'Nimes' bathroom vanity

The ‘Nimes’ Empire style vanity features hand-carved ornamentation in the form of classical urns and laurel wreaths. Made to order, it can be supplied in a range of finishes – the example shown has been painted in a striking 'Lazurite Blue' with gilded carvings. Alternatively the 'Nimes' can be entirely and lavishly gilded in genuine silver leaf or Acajou can create a hand-polished wood version for a more classic setting. The vanity incorporates a uniquely designed marble counter top and comes complete with an undermount ceramic basin, and ample storage space and shelving for bathroom necessities. Like all Acajou furniture, the 'Nimes' vanity is constructed from solid mahogany wood by skilled cabinet-makers, in the tradition of the artists who made similar pieces for the dazzling court of Napoleon and his successors. As displayed, the 'Nimes' vanity is complemented by Acajou's ornate 'Acanthus' mirror, hand-carved by our skilled artisans from solid mahogany wood with carefully bevelled glass. The mirror has been fully gilded in genuine gold leaf using the traditional Bollé method.
