PERINSUL HL is a high-loadbearing cellular glass insulation block designed to reduce thermal bridging at structural junctions, such as wall-to-floor interfaces and beneath load-bearing masonry. Installed at the base of external walls or other critical junctions, it provides a continuous thermal break while maintaining structural integrity, helping to limit heat loss and condensation risk within the building envelope.
Manufactured from expanded recycled glass, the material is rigid, vapour-tight, and dimensionally stable, with high compressive strength suitable for load-bearing applications. Its closed-cell structure makes it resistant to moisture, rot, and pests, supporting long-term performance with minimal maintenance. The material is also non-combustible, achieving Euroclass A1 classification.
PERINSUL HL holds a BBA Agrément Certificate (No. 14/5111) and a European Technical Assessment (ETA) with CE marking, confirming independently verified performance and suitability for use in construction.
Sustainability considerations
The product’s composition includes a high proportion of recycled glass and contains no added VOCs, contributing to low emissions in use. Its durability and resistance to moisture and degradation support a long service life, reducing the need for replacement over time. By addressing thermal bridging at junctions, PERINSUL HL helps maintain continuity of the building envelope, supporting improved energy performance and reduced operational heat loss.
