SafeWood® non-hychroscopic fire retardant treated wood products SafeWood® offers fire retardant treated wood and sheet material that contributes to a higher safety level in building. It is protected by an advanced formulation that allows application of finished products for interior, weather protected applications. The products are free from halogenated compounds. When subjected to fire, the fire retardant ingredients react with the combustible gases and tars normally generated by untreated wood, and convert them to carbon char, carbon dioxide and water.
