Sedumtak is VegTech’s extensive green roof system, composed of pre-cultivated sedum vegetation supported by a lightweight substrate layer containing biochar. Designed for flat and gently sloped roofs, the system provides a durable, low-maintenance vegetated surface suited to Nordic climates. Sedumtak is available in mat and modular block formats, allowing it to be adapted to different roof sizes and installation requirements.
The system is supported by Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), offering transparent life-cycle data. As an extensive green roof, Sedumtak typically contributes to improved rainwater attenuation, reduces surface runoff, and offers additional thermal moderation of the roof structure. Its biodiverse sedum layer also supports pollinators and enhances the ecological value of built surfaces.
