EPDM ROOFING FOR A SUPERIOR RESULT

The waterproofing market has been changing during the past few decades, with single-ply roofing membranes steadily gaining market share. Product durability, ease of application and ability to optimize the energy efficiency of buildings while minimizing their environmental impact are key factors behind this trend. RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane ticks all these boxes.

RubberGard EPDM is a synthetic rubber single-ply waterproofing membrane for flat and low slope roofs of commercial, industrial and residential buildings. It offers outstanding durability, resilience and adaptability to current and future building needs.

Unlike other traditional roofing membranes on the market, the installation of RubberGard EPDM is flame-free, making onsite working conditions safer. Being a single-ply membrane, it offers a lightweight roofing solution that is quick and easy to install.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Superior durability and longevity

Total peace of mind for a very long time, that is what the RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane has to offer. Properly formulated EPDM membranes show an unmatched resistance to ozone, UV radiation and extreme temperatures. As they do not contain any plasticizers or flame retardants, their characteristics remain stable and unchanged over time. Studies show that EPDM roofing membranes have a life expectancy of more than 50 years.

Quick and easy installation

The RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane is easy to install. It is available in large seamless sheets up to 15.25 m wide x 61 m long (930 m²), resulting in fewer field seams needed for large surfaces and a shorter installation time. Elevate's QuickSeam tape technology offers a proven field seaming solution without requiring sophisticated or costly equipment.

High flexibility and elongation

RubberGard EPDM remains highly flexible, even at temperatures as low as -45°C, enabling year-round installation. The membrane can also elongate over 300% to accommodate building movements and temperature fluctuations.

Low-life cycle cost

RubberGard EPDM requires little or no maintenance. If needed, it can be easily repaired using Elevate QuickSeam products, even after decades of service. This feature, combined with its inherent durability and competitive installation costs, result in a very low life-cycle cost.

Sustainable roofing solution

RubberGard EPDM supports your sustainable efforts. It is an inert material with a low environmental impact. No toxic substances are released during or after its installation, allowing the collection of run-off rainwater for domestic use. RubberGard EPDM can also be recycled and re-used. Elevate's EPDM manufacturing facilities have received the ISO 14001 certification, a testimony of the company's commitment to environmental management.

Compatible with green roofs and photovoltaic installations

Having successfully passed the EN 1394 test for resistance to root penetration on extensive green roofs, the RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane is ideal for extensive green roof systems that use lightweight, low-maintenance sedum vegetation. You can also easily combine RuberGard EDPM with any type of PV (photovoltaic) installation thanks to its high-temperature resistance, wear and tear resistance, and unmatched life expectancy.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT ROOFING SYSTEM

Are you planning to install a new roof or refurbish an existing roof? Do you want an accessible or non-accessible roof, a green roof, a roof with solar panels, a blue roof…? RubberGard EPDM roofing systems offer a variety of installation options to best meet the requirements of your project.

Mechanically attached (RMA) system

Lightweight, non-penetrating mechanically attached system developed around Elevate’s QuickSeam RMA strip. The QuickSeam RMA strips are laid over the substrate and mechanically secured to the roof deck. The membrane is then adhered to these self-adhesive strips.
