Reference projects

Eden Tower
The Eden Tower project in Frankfurt, Germany, showcases the innovative use of SemperGreenwalls to create a unique green residential tower. Stretching 98 meters high, these vertical gardens boast a staggering 185,000 plants, tripling the green space compared to the building's footprint. This achievement marks the first-ever application of green facades at such a height.

To meet the strictest requirements of building regulations, Sempergreen has developed a new type of Flexipanel for this green facade and for future projects. In an independent test, the panel was tested for, among other things, calorific value and flame spread. In the process, the Flexipanel achieved fire safety certificate A2-s2,d0. This means that the panels contribute little or nothing to the start of a fire, cause no melted parts and produce only light smoke in the event of a fire. This meant that the SemperGreenwall system thus met the stringent requirements and made it possible to apply it at high heights. To prevent plants or other parts of the green façade from coming loose, the Flexipanel - the building block of the green façade - was tested for its resistance to wind load, and approved according to the strict requirements for this.

Foundation for Polish Science Headquarters

This project, Foundation for Polish Science Headquarters, explores the transformation of a dilapidated multi-family house into the environmentally friendly headquarters of the Foundation of Polish Science (FNP) in Warsaw, Poland. A key feature of the FNP headquarters is its innovative use of vertical gardens by Sempergreen.
These living walls, covering both the front and side elevations, boast over 260 square meters of greenery and serve as a striking example of how modern architecture can integrate with nature and contribute significantly to the building's sustainability in several ways. The vertical garden incorporates a unique selection of 20 plant species, designed to create a year-round display of greenery with seasonal blooms and colorful accents. This green haven not only provides aesthetic appeal but is also expected to evolve over time as wind and birds introduce new seeds.

Beringea office

Beringea's London office refurbishment, designed by Mowat & Company, prioritizes a connection between nature and employees. The aim was to transform the traditional office into a calming, welcoming, and open hub that fosters productivity. An important element in achieving this goal is the Semper Greenwall.

In high-pressure environments, greenery in the form of living walls can significantly reduce stress and promote relaxation, leading to a more positive state of mind. Studies suggest that living walls can even increase feelings of well-being and boost productivity by up to 15%. Plants in living walls act as natural air filters, removing particulate matter and converting CO2 into oxygen. This leads to a cleaner, healthier working environment for employees. The inclusion of natural elements like living walls supports biophilic design principles, which emphasize the inherent human connection with nature. This approach has been shown to create a more calming and productive work environment.
