The retro ceiling counterbalance lamp by designer Jan Hoogervorst is one of the most iconic lighting products of the Dutch lighting industry. Hoogervorst was a mid-century designer and designed the so-called 'Annual Collections' for ANVIA from the early 1950s to the early 1980s. Since 2015, we have started to reproduce his most popular designs. This is reflected in an extraordinary combination: the design of the past with the technology of today.

The ANVIA retro ceiling counterbalance lamp No. 1506, The Upper King, is based on the original design from the late 1950s / early 1960s with a very attractive cardanic mechanism. The unique cardanic mechanism ensures that the retro ceiling lamp can be freely positioned. The lamp can be easily positioned up and down and fixed with the nuts. The lampshade can also be set in various positions. By its countless positions, this lamp is extremely functional and very user-friendly.
