It all starts from an image that resides in memory: Torri (Towers), as the memory of a travel guided by the ancient watchtowers dotting the Salento coastline (Apulia region).
These marvellous architectures between land and sea, with their characteristic iconic shape, continue to win us over with their mysterious and ascetic presence layered with history.
The matter
Traditionally, Salento watchtowers are made of Lecce stone, a local material that strongly characterizes the architectural landscape of this land kissed by the sun and the sea. The sunlight envelops and makes the stone of the towers shine, enhancing the linear beauty springing from their very formal simplicity.
The idea
Creating a lighting object of iconic simplicity and made of natural stone, thus capable of telling the history of the territory and its architecture landmarks – from watchtowers to domes – built with the same material. And, all of it, using
Lecce stone only, a material of unquestionable aesthetic and tactile beauty: for an enveloping and welcoming light, suitable for both domestic environments and contract settings.
