Interior design and decoration project of a 165 m2 built house in which have been obtained more luminous, practical and open spaces. In this house of 165 m2 located in the upper area of Barcelona between Vía Augusta and Calvet, was made an update of the spaces. They wanted to optimize the rooms that lacked style and design and were obtained more practical and functional areas. A current and renovated pieces were included giving a different approach and recovering the soul and essence of the house.

Project
In the upper area of Barcelona, the owners wanted to optimize the existing space and obtain a better distribution of the house to create homogeneous and fluid areas. In one of the reception rooms of the house, an office was located adding an informal style to the entrance. Very modern pieces were included with older ones, adding a classic and informal point. One of the main walls of the entrance was covered with a decorative paper with the image of three elephants, incorporating personality and presence to the environment.

In the lounge area, we tried to give it the same focus and continuity. It was played with natural materials such as rattan, different woods, crystals and marbles. In turn, dark colors are combined with others more neutral and clear as different notes of colors such as garnet and pink. The dining room included a large marble table so that all the guests could enjoy the views and natural light. In addition, a lighting composition was placed that adds character to the space, making it unique and complete.

Regarding the room of the smallest of the house, it was made to measure based on a composition using modules to optimize the maximum possible space. A Smeg fridge was added, at the request of the child, in color red and a small leisure area to play. A multipurpose room was held where the owners sought to give different uses. Finally, an area for guests was obtained which serves as a study area and for watching television.

For the suite room were sought elegance and warmth, creating harmony between the elements. A wallpaper with geometric shapes was selected in the area of the headboard creating a large picture. The bedside tables break with the straight lines that complement the comfort of the textiles and a delicate suspended lighting.

Used Materials
Regarding the materials, The Room Studio opted for the main use of different woods that combine with current and colorful furniture. The luminosity is one of the main strengths of the house, highlighting all the areas and getting natural light. It was decided to use neutral finishes and refined lines where are displayed different pieces and design complements.

Light and flat colors are combined with others with more presence as: blacks, garnets, roses and green water, along with a selection of decorative papers. The hall is characterized by marbles and complements where the golden finishes create a perfect dialogue that plays with the dining area. Each space is endowed with the maximum functionality where the goal was the connection and continuity between all spaces in the house.

For the bathroom of the suite, it was decided to use a soft chromatism that ranges from brown and stone tones to darker ones. Natural materials such as wood and stone are used together with other contemporary elements.
