This apartment with a spacious terrace was initially planned as an investment project for rental purposes. However, as the design process unfolded, it began to take on a unique character so perfectly reflecting the personality of its owner that the plans changed—the owner decided to move in herself.
The client is a young entrepreneur from Kazakhstan who founded her own clothing brand. Her energetic and creative lifestyle became the primary inspiration for the project. Although at the initial stage she only provided a few references and left much of the creative freedom to the designer, an inner sense suggested that this space should be crafted specifically for her.
The final interior turned out to be a reflection of her personality—light, playful, positive, and unconventional. Bright accents are combined with thoughtful functionality, and the details of the interior seem to tell the story of her creative journey.
The space remained bright and airy thanks to well-thought-out solutions: the bedroom area was separated by a glass partition that doesn’t weigh down the interior but brings a bold highlight with its saturated red color—a daring choice not everyone would support. In the compact kitchen, integrated with the living room, something special was created: a fully-fledged corner for wine, tea, and coffee. This space became not only functional but also cozy, making it ideal for gatherings or quiet relaxation.
A particularly harmonious moment occurred during the move-in phase when the owner brought her favorite painting by Kazakhstani artist Rafael Slekenov. It fit perfectly into the interior, becoming the final touch in creating a space that not only looks stylish but also feels genuinely personal. This apartment is an example of how a living space can not only meet practical needs but also become a reflection of its owner’s character. The lightness, positivity, and unconventional solutions of the interior emphasize the individuality of the owner and inspire new achievements.
