The renovation of Riviera Apartment began with the desire to transform the everyday experience of a young couple through a more open, welcoming, and fluid living space. The main challenge was to strengthen the connection between the living and dining areas while preserving the privacy of the home office.

The project responds to this condition through a wooden partition that becomes the main architectural element of the intervention. It organizes the social area, defines different degrees of privacy, and creates a clear transition between collective and more secluded spaces.

Its warm materiality contrasts with the neutral palette that characterizes the rest of the apartment. White and light-toned surfaces create a calm backdrop, while integrated cabinetry and carefully positioned lighting reinforce the sense of continuity throughout the interior.

The layout was designed to enhance openness and comfort, allowing the living and dining areas to feel more connected without losing the intimacy required for the workspace. A restrained palette and a limited number of architectural gestures give the apartment a quiet and cohesive atmosphere.

The result is a more generous and welcoming social space, shaped by a simple but precise intervention that reorganizes the way the apartment is experienced on a daily basis.
