This project was designed to integrate the living room and kitchen areas, creating a sense of spaciousness and flow. To achieve this, we opened the kitchen and unified the spaces, subtly incorporating the laundry area. We designed a divider with perforated elements to conceal the laundry while allowing natural light from its window to spread throughout the apartment, enhancing brightness and connectivity.
In the living room, we created a white, sleek, and delicate iron shelving unit that organizes and elevates the space. To add striking contrast, we chose a vibrant red tone for the doors of the private area and the powder room, standing out against a neutral palette of gray, wood, white, and black.
A workspace was strategically placed next to the floor-to-ceiling window, offering the resident a functional and well-lit spot for her home office. In the main bedroom, we opted for a cozy and soft approach with finishes in wood and light tones, bringing comfort and tranquility.
The second bedroom was transformed into a multifunctional space, combining a library with a personalized area for the resident, who is a psychologist.
In the bathrooms, we used terrazzo tiles in shades of black, brown, and white, paired with black fixtures that add modernity and character. In the kitchen, the combination of wood with gray hydraulic tiles was complemented by a beautiful antique bookshelf sourced by the resident, repurposed as a display cabinet. Black dining chairs were chosen to provide a striking contrast within the space.
