The single-family apartment, located in the Jardins neighborhood - São Paulo, had a conventional layout with compartmentalized spaces. The initial challenge was to create a more open, fluid, and well-lit atmosphere to meet the clients' desires for a contemporary residence. The integration of the bedroom with the living room, coupled with the opening of the kitchen, transformed the apartment into a versatile and functional space, fostering interaction among the residents during moments of togetherness.
To ensure a smooth transition between the living room and the kitchen, a wooden countertop was installed for various uses, becoming the central point of the home. The vertical and horizontal planes, with straight and minimalist lines of wood and concrete, brought dynamic spatiality to the organization of the apartment. In the living room, the living, dining, and office areas blend together. Lighting was essential in creating distinct settings.
The kitchen layout was designed linearly, allowing for easy circulation between the preparation and storage areas. The lacquered white woodwork with wooden details was designed to maximize space. The tiled backsplash with blue accents adds charm to the environment. The laundry area is small but serves the desired functions, with the same details as the kitchen. In the suite, the headboard panel brings comfort to the room. The bathroom layouts were rethought to create a more spacious and airy sensation.
