Ashen Villa is a contemporary villa project designed for a client based in Riyadh, specializing in stone products. The goal was to create a space that blends cutting-edge architecture with the client's business, highlighting his company's products and reflecting cultural sensitivity to the region. The project involves both architecture and interior design, built from scratch by YODEZEEN with a turnkey solution.
The core idea behind Ashen Villa was to integrate functional adaptability within the living spaces. The client was given the flexibility to choose how each room could evolve over time. For example, bedrooms can be converted into offices or children's rooms, depending on future needs. The design emphasizes fluidity, with spaces flowing into one another. The use of light-green marble, sourced from the client's stone factory, became an essential element, featured prominently in key design details such as the fireplace and staircase.
In the interior design, materials and decor were carefully selected to reflect the cultural characteristics of the region. Arabic art, traditional patterns, and adherence to local regulations (such as those for wet zones) ensured that the villa not only met aesthetic goals but also respected cultural values. This approach resulted in a harmonious integration of contemporary design with regional influences.
