The owners hired renown firm Geising + Böker Architekton to create a water world and spa facility. The project includes a retractable roof aquatic center by OpenAire and an ETFE fixed structure by others.
The designers wanted the retractable roof to open more than the typical 50% In a top down - double slope concept. As such the tracks were extended off the sides of the structure so that the roof can open over 60% of the space.
The result is a fabulous bright space, used year round and which costs the client less to operate.
