The project involved the renovation of a single-family home and the expansion of the living area. The house's south elevation was completely demolished and replaced by a glass prism, which constitutes the new living area extension. This addition features a deep overhang that—in addition to shading the glazing—houses a barbecue area, effectively extending the dining space; the structure is framed by a monolithic fireplace that rises above the roofline.

An internal courtyard was created between the existing house and the new addition; it serves as a pivotal link connecting the various spaces—entrance, kitchen, cellar, dining room, and living room—while bringing light into every room and acting as a transitional buffer between areas revealed sequentially.

While the courtyard is glazed on three sides, it also features an opaque wall—distinctly recognizable from the interior—formed by a monolithic block of "Absolute Black" granite that serves as a structural support for cabinetry. The living area's guest bathroom features a freestanding washbasin and a ceiling-mounted spout, with walls clad in wallpaper that lends the space a more "public" feel; in contrast, the bathroom in the sleeping area is clad entirely in Carrara marble with varying surface textures.
