“Bluplex” is a studio apartment arranged over two levels. At the entrance level, there is a bathroom and the living area, which extends along the apartment’s windowed façade, while a small staircase leads to the mezzanine floor dedicated to the sleeping area.
The mezzanine appears to float at the center of the space, overlooking the entire living area and, with its distinctive blue color, illuminates the whole apartment, suspended between shades of white and cream.
Like a river flowing from the mezzanine, the staircase—also blue—descends gently, making its way between two walls before ending in a large landing that becomes a TV cabinet. On the opposite side, a linear kitchen with ribbed walnut cabinet fronts runs along the entire short side of the room.
Suspended in the double-height void, two large chandeliers composed of concentric discs float through the space like jellyfish in the sea.
