The 85m span Bridge 20 neighbours the site of the London 2012 Olympic Games and is one of many structures that forms new east-west connections through the area. The highway bridge crosses rail lines at two levels and is highly visible to Eurostar travellers to London from Europe as well as visitors to the Westfield shopping centre. The distinctive structural form is a central cable-stayed arch with weathering steel cantilever ribs supporting the road deck. The cross section of the steel arch varies from springing point to crown, increasing the drama of this landmark form.
