The idea behind the look of the Cambria Hotel Charleston Riverview was for CH Design Studios to maintain the space’s prototypical design but also incorporate some touches of the local feel of Charleston. Charleston has an old-time traditional charm to it and we wanted to convey that into things like the brass accents all around the public area lighting, the oversized chandelier above the bar, the brass mesh cabinets behind the bar and the accent driftwood looking tiles in the lobby.
All the artwork pieces were chosen as abstract imagery of places around Charleston such as church steeples, wrought iron details and beach scenery. The headboard backdrop in all the rooms is made to look like driftwood to mimic the seaside surroundings with an abstract representation of the famous Pineapple fountain in Waterfront Park representing southern hospitality.
