Located at an irregualar terrain, this house counts with a particular architectural program; where every space was made with the intetion of improving the relationship between the interior and the exterior space, visually and fisically.
Casa 8A is projected in order to have the best orientation for every and each space, which leads to different exterior nodes in manner of terraces; those nodes let the sunlight in generating private indoor gardens as visual points from the interior, green and social areas. The irregular topography leads the experiences and circulations through the house provoking that the connections of the between the spaces be determined by the changes in level and height.
From the exterior, the house is experienced by walking around it. The main entrance leads to the visualization of franc volumes that surge through the use of proportion, where a large vertical nude concrete volume interrupts the horizontality of the project; creating a composite axis that establishes the special organization and framing the access to the house.
The house is rich in materials, such as marble, wood, glass, natural stone, steel, and others. Those equilibrate with the simplicity of the form and the detail. Materials define the covering of the interior, generating textures and contrasts that let the space be experienced differently; establishing a warm and confortable ambience.
